Production
As a producer it is important to understand what the artist is trying to express. It is my job to get the best out of the artist and to make the song in their head audible to the world.
Sometimes a songwriter might become overwhelmed by their own creativity, which makes it hard to channel all that energy. I will help you make those decisions to achieve your goals.
Recording
With the songs in great shape, the recording process starts. It’s important to me to cover the emotion and energy of a performance to the highest level possible.
I’m looking forward to come to your studio or any commercial studio of your choice to set everything up.
I’m also happy to invite you to my very own Savage Sound Studio in Bavaria, Germany. With a great selection of professional microphones from Neumann, Shure, Audix, Sennheiser, Lewitt and Co. I can facilitate Drum Tracking, Overdubbing and Vocal recording to a high level.
Next to 32 solid-state MIDAS Pro preamps, Savage Sound also houses some great outboard gear for recording and mixing. I record to Pro Tools at 48kHz/24-bit to make sure your recording will be compatible with video.
Mixing
The mixing stage is where it comes all together. It’s like painting a picture.
Together with the artist, I want to create a signature sound that stands out from others. As with the recording stage, I’m happy to travel to any studio, but I’m also more than excited to welcome you at Savage Sound.
Savage Sound offers a professional mixing setup. At the heart of it all stands a Midas M32 Full Size console with a Pro Tools Rig running at 48kHz/24 bit. The outboard gear includes a Roland RE-201 Analog Tape Echo, a Warm Audio Bus Comp, a TC Electronic M350 and many more.
Whether I’m doing a classic Hybrid Mix or I’m going with a modern “in the box” approach my plugin library includes Slate Digital, Waves, iZotope, Native Instruments, Soundtoys and Neural DSP.
Although I prefer to get the artist to listen to the mix with me in the same room, I also offer to fully remote mix. In that case I ask the artist to stay in close contact to assure the best sound possible.
Musician Services
Many studio productions - especially with Solo Artists - require a session musician.
If you are a singer and guitarist and you would like to have that last chorus to really smash with some drums, a Hammond Organ and some bass, I’m more than happy to arrange and play those parts.
An aspect that is often overlooked or squeezed in at the end of a project are the backing vocals. A good choir brings a chorus to life and makes a song stand out from others. With a vocal range of three octaves I can sing the choir on my own or just saturate an existing one.
